چکیده
ETHODS A 12-lead ECG was continuously recorded during 24 ours in 20 patients with BS (ages 49 12) and 10 healthy ubjects (ages 32 7). Using two-dimensional binning we obained average QRS-T complexes every 30 minutes (time bins) and t different RR intervals (rate bins) for each subject. ST level was easured at five different points located 90, 100, 110, 120, and 40 ms after Q onset (Qo). In BS patients, the highest ST elevation

A case of Brugada Syndrome unmasked by a postoperative febrile state
Abstract Background: Brugada Syndrome (BS) is an inherited ion channelopathy characterized by an electrocardiographic (ECG) pattern of a coved type ST segment elevation in right precordial leads with or without right bundle branch block. Case Presentation: A 23-year old male presented with right lower quadrant abdominal pain. Further evaluation revealed a diagnosis of acute appendicitis. The ...

ObJectives. We examined the modulatory effects of autonomic nervous system and antiarrhythmic drugs on the ST segment in patients with Brugada syndrome to gain an insight into the mechanism of ST segment elevation. Background. Right bundle branch block, ST segment elevation and ventricular taehyarrhythmias define a distinct clinical and electrocardiographic (ECG) syndrome (Brugada syndrome). Ho...

BACKGROUND Glucose-induced insulin secretion is one of the contributing factors to fluctuation of ST segment elevation in Brugada syndrome. OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of meals on variations of ST elevation in Brugada syndrome. METHODS We assessed changes of ST segment elevation in lead V1-3 on ECG before and after taking meals, at midnight, and at 3:00...

متن کاملThe electrophysiologic mechanism of ST-segment elevation in Brugada syndrome.
OBJECTIVES We sought to demonstrate the electrophysiologic (EP) mechanism of the ST-T change in Brugada syndrome. BACKGROUND Brugada syndrome is characterized by various electrocardiographic manifestations (e.g., right bundle branch block, ST-segment elevation, and terminal T-wave inversion in the right precordial leads) and sudden cardiac death caused by ventricular fibrillation. Direct evid...
